Meet the Photographer

Hey, my name is Manya Kanana

Hi, I am Manya Kanana, but you can call me Peter.

I’m a photojournalist based in Windhoek, Namibia, a husband, and someone with a deep love for storytelling through images.

To me, photography is more than just a craft, it’s a quiet, powerful way to hold onto the emotions, expressions, and fleeting moments that define our lives. Every frame I capture is a small piece of history, a reminder of how a moment once felt.

Whether it’s the spark between two people, the joy of a celebration, or the quiet in-between moments, I strive to preserve stories that gently echo through time.

If this speaks to you, I would be honoured to hear your love story and help tell it through my lens.

Sincerely, Yours...

Why I Do What I Do

I have always wished we could hold onto our memories, clear and vivid, just as they felt in the moment. But as time passes, even the most beautiful memories begin to fade. That’s what first drew me to photography.

It started as a personal need: a way to preserve the joy of ordinary days, unforgettable adventures, and meaningful moments spent with the people I love.

Now, I want to share that gift with you.

Through my lens, I’ll help you document your legacy so you can pass down these moments, stories, and emotions to your children and grandchildren. So they’ll know where it all began, what life felt like decades ago, and how love was expressed in your time.

These photographs won’t just be pictures.

They’ll be some of your most cherished possessions, timeless reminders of what truly matters.
